Producer [2021 - 2025]

As a key production leader on New World, I directed cross-functional teams of up to 40 developers through the delivery of franchise-defining milestones, including the Brimstone Sands and Rise of the Angry Earth expansions, as well as the simultaneous PlayStation and Xbox console launch. My role bridged the gap between creative execution and business performance; I directed the MTX feature team and monetization strategies—including the Store, Transmog, and Season Reward Track—which generated an average of $12M annually, with the Season Pass contributing 30% of total revenue.

Beyond content delivery, I operationalized the development pipeline to support a live service ecosystem of 178,000 weekly active users. I established a new Feature Ownership framework that reduced QA distribution errors by 40%, owned TRC compliance for console platforms, and served as the primary lead for external co-development partners. These operational improvements ensured the smooth deployment of high-engagement features, including Mounts, Seasonal Servers, and the Activity Finder.

Commerce & Monetization Strategy I directed the evolution of New World’s monetization infrastructure, headlined by the launch of Store 2.0, a complete overhaul designed to improve user experience and conversion. My mandate included managing the MTX Content Pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality assets, and delivering the highly requested Barbershop feature to drive cosmetic spend. I also managed the Season Reward Track, aligning free and premium tiers to maximize player value and revenue.

Live Operations & Seasonal Events To drive consistent engagement (WAU), I executed a robust calendar of limited-time content. This included managing the production of major Seasonal Reward Track Events such as Nightveil Hallow, Turkulon, Winter Convergence, Springtide Bloom, and Summer Medleyfaire. I also oversaw the deployment of dynamic micro-events like Rabbit's Revenge, Legacy of Crassus, Fury of the Spriggan, and World Bosses. My strategy also allowed for experimental engagement beats, such as the Faction Fest Event and the lighthearted April Fools Content (Kick Me Shield).

Gameplay Systems & Progression Focusing on player retention and endgame depth, I led the delivery of the Nighthaven Progression Overhaul and the PvP Tracker System Revamp v2, ensuring that veteran players had meaningful long-term goals. I also managed the release of competitive content, including the Raid systems and the specialized Season 8 Seasonal Servers: Skillful Hardcore, which introduced high-stakes mechanics for the most dedicated player segment.

Technical Infrastructure Beyond player-facing features, I owned critical backend integrations essential for platform scalability. This included the implementation of Backend OMNI services and the seamless integration of the Amazon Games Platform Sign-in (AGID), ensuring a unified and secure authentication experience across the ecosystem.

Console Launch & UX/UI Modernization I spearheaded the comprehensive adaptation of the game for the console market, managing end-to-end Console Playtest Management to validate usability. I directed the Console UX/UI Visual Design Update, ensuring a seamless player experience by redesigning all screens, the map, helpbar, settings, and input wheels for controller support. This initiative also included defining the new Archetypes system to streamline the new player experience (FTUE) and the Cutlass Keys Revamp to refresh early-game content.

Technical Infrastructure & Systems Design Focusing on scalability and player friction, I delivered critical backend systems including World Transfers, Server Queuing Tech, and the Release Management pipeline. I enhanced matchmaking liquidity by launching Cross-World Expeditions and Cross-World OPR (Outpost Rush). Additionally, I managed deep systems work such as Loot Biasing, Economy Balancing, and the gameplay-focused Outpost Rush Revamp.

Live Operations & Event Strategy I executed a high-cadence Live Ops schedule, delivering major festivals like Winter Convergence and Summer Medleyfaire, alongside targeted engagement events like Legacy of Crassus, Fury of the Spriggan, and the Year of the Dragon. My strategy included managing Season 7 Seasonal Servers, integrating Twitch Drops for acquisition, and deploying playful community beats like the April Fools Content (Hippo Burley).

Monetization & Economy To drive revenue performance, I managed the MTX Content Pipeline and the Season Reward Track, ensuring a balance between player value and business goals. This included the Store 2.0 Front End Facelift to improve navigation and conversion, as well as the implementation of VFX Content for Transmog to increase the appeal of cosmetic items.

Expansion & Core Content Delivery I played a pivotal role in shipping the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, delivering franchise-defining features including the Mounts system, the Flail weapon, and the narrative-driven Soul Trails. My responsibilities encompassed the vertical progression strategy, managing the Level Increase to 65 and the Gear Score Increase, alongside the deployment of Fresh Start Servers to revitalize the player ecosystem.

Systems Design & Player Progression Focusing on retention and gameplay depth, I curated and designed key systems to streamline the player journey. This included a comprehensive Progression XP Revamp, Crafting Simplification, and the design of high-impact Artifacts. I also managed technical gameplay features such as Latent Characters and the Update to Raid Progression, as well as the PvP Tracker System Revamp to better reward competitive play.

UX/UI & External Development I championed the modernization of the user interface, producing the Activity Finder, CMS Modals, and the Transmog system. A key part of this role involved managing Sprung, an external UX/UI co-development partner, to deliver high-quality assets and an overhauled First Time User Experience (FTUE).

Live Operations & Monetization I directed the content pipeline for the game's live service model, managing the MTX Content Pipeline and the Season Reward Track. I oversaw a massive calendar of engagement content, including Twitch Drops, April Fools beats, and major Seasonal Events (Nightveil Hallow, Turkulon, Winter Convergence, Springtide Bloom, Summer Medleyfaire) alongside dynamic world events like Legacy of Crassus and Luck of the Bones.

Expansion Content & Meta Design I produced and curated the release of the Brimstone zone, a major content update that expanded the playable world and introduced new narrative depth. Alongside this territorial expansion, I managed the introduction of the Greatsword, a new weapon archetype that fundamentally shifted the combat meta. To foster competitive engagement, I also oversaw the design and implementation of global Leaderboards, giving players new goals to chase.

Live Operations & Retention Events To drive consistent weekly active users (WAU), I executed a multi-layered event strategy. This included the production of major Seasonal Festivals (Nightveil Hallow, Turkulon, Winter Convergence, Springtide Bloom, Summer Medleyfaire) and the playful Rabbit's Revenge. Supplementing these major beats, I designed dynamic Weekend Events, curating specific engagement boosters such as increased XP, trade skill acceleration, and material yield bonuses to optimize player retention during lull periods.
